After i dropped Shaikha off, i headed home. I tried not to panic as i drove, i sensed that it was a big deal from 3baid's message but i had no clue. And even if i thought for hours, i wouldn't have gussed what he was going to say.

" She was here ! " 3baid said out of breath

" What? Who? your ex girlfriend? "

" What?! NO Whayyib concentrate! the freaky girl you're after! or.. the one who's after you , i don't know.. "

I tried to comprehend , i tried to clear my head, my eyes narrowed and i stepped closer to 3baid

" Say that again.. " i said almost in a whisper

" Whayyib shfeek.. il bnt, el bnt ele eb 360.. ele eb masafe6 el jam3eyya 3ala goltik, ele t7s enik t3rfha! kanat hne! 3nd el bait "

" What the hell did you just say? " I stepped even closer, i was inches away from 3baid and i looked like i was about to punch him in the face

My heartbeats went fast and faster, i tried to send down but i got up again " Okay. okay that's cool that's okay.. she might.. not be who we think she is " I said still thinking

" And WHO exactly do we think she is ? " 3baid sounded alert, he narrowed his eyes at me

I looked at him from the corner of my eye " Look it could be anyone.. let's assume she is a crazy stalker.. doesn't mean she's after me!! maybe she's after you.. " I knew that was a lie, i wasn't that convincing when i heard myself but 3baid looked like he was actually considering it and that made me smile at my own evil gesture

" What? nooo no it can't be.." He shook his head, he really looked panicked!

" Dude relax! " I laughed " lets just say if she came once.. she's gona come again. right? " i sure hoped so. 3baid shrugged " Whatever man am locking my bedroom door tonight " I laughed again " Dude what are you 12?! it's just a girl in a car! "

"By our house! by our jam3eyya! and almost in all of our outings! And dude, she was NOT there to flirt hat girl looked like she wanted to speak her mind like.. there's SOMETHING going on with her"

I didn't blame him for freaking out..

I grinned again, She was sleeping and it was too darn cute

He gave me the stink eye, " Food is something NOT to be messed with.. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day! "

" Dude wait up!! we're not on the olympics or anything!!" 3baid was shouting behind me out of breath


I laughed and stopped to face him " Fine am tired of kicking your ass anyway "


He gave me an evil eye, " Hey.. " I put my hands in the air " You wanted a race, you got a race "


*BARK!!* we heard a dog headed our way, It was a beautiful golden retriever with a loose leash " Heyy.. " I leaned down to touch it as it settled near my feet, but before i could do so he ran away as fast as possible to an obviously worried owner running across the beach, it was a girl.. her hair was all up in her face and i could feel her looking at us.. but before i had time to think, she was gone



" Don't tell me.. " I head 3baid behind me , " It can't be.. we're just.. tired let's go eat.. " I said with one last glance behind me where we saw her and then headed to the car



" Hey baby " I answered my phone, we were having breakfast at Johny's and 3baid was eating like it was his birthday



I laughed " Hey you.. " She answered me


" Sleeping beauty finally got up, huh? "


She giggled " Yes, your sleeping beauty is going to get her beauty done alright "



" Huh? " i said as i took a bite out of my bacon


" I have a wedding today " She said " I need to go pick up my dress from the dry cleaners and head for the ladies salon " i grinned " I see "



" What? " She was on to me " Nothing.. " I told her " Well can i see the transformation then? "



She giggled again " Wahab don't be silly ", " Where is it ? " I asked


" Mariott "


" Well what do you know! me and 3baid were heading there anyway! "



" What?! " Her voice squeaked and then she laughed " Sh3ndikkom? "



" Uhh.." I glanced at 3baid who was now eating food out of my plate " 3baid has some business there.. " 3baid choked, stopped eating and looked at me wide-eyed with a silly expression on his face, i grinned trying not to laugh



" Nice try " She said, " Look just one glance.. just one.. i'll be 20 feet away.. behind a wall or something.. in a trick.. " i said, She giggled " Fine.. but that's just a pass not a ticket to see the show " She told me



" I just wanna see your show " I said , " Mr. Wahab!! that flirting thin you got going on is surely a new tred!! "she said stunned, I grinned " Shrayich fene ? or maybe i shouldn't be spending so much time with this full-mouthed Jazora over here " I looked at 3baid , again he looked up with his mouth full, with a (what-the-hell are-you-talking-about) Look



By night time we were both hanging out at the house " so you're going to Mariott? " he asked me


" I think i am " I said


" Alright.. i gotta go to the hospital get some papers and medicine for my dad i'll call you later? " He asked



" Sure.. " I was putting on some perfume when i saw 3baid just stop and stare at the window


I turned around, " What? "


" Nothin'.. " 3baid said casually, but i knew him too well.. i got up quickly and looked out the window " Do't tell me.. "



" I just saw a car.." He told me, " I think it's the same as before.. "


I sighed " It's alright.. whatever.. " I said, but it was far more than alright!


" Wahhaaab.. " He knew i was on to something " What are you gonna do? " i stayed quiet " Wahhab.. " He said again


I looked at him " You should go.. I got stuff to do "



" Yeah.. you got Shaikha too , and if am not mistaken she's waiting for you " My heart sank at the thought of her.. " Just don't do anything stupid yeah? " He told me as i saw a car pass by again


I didn't see it, but i had my heart set on doing something i hated doing..


" You can go 3baid.. " I said again


I texted my beautiful girlfriend waiting at the hotel by the door of an elevator that lead her to the ballroom of the wedding.. i couldn't go.. as much as i hated doing that to her.. i had to


3baid was headed to the pharmacy of the hospital when he saw a tall girl who was clearly scared, wearing a 3abaya over what appeared to be a long red dress.. her hair.. her make up.. clearly showed she was a at party before she came here..



No.. No No.. He was praying in his head it wouldn't be, but it was..

To all my lovely followers and anonymous readers, am so sorry for not posting as often as i used to but i've been having some eye problems that prevented me from using my laptop as often ;( but am, fine 3ade it's not that big! am so sorry guys i really love posting for you and i'll try as hard as i can i promise;*

I watched her eat happily, we almost ordered half the menu. Her crazy way ofcourse.. dessert first! so we started off with some vanilla ice cream with a huge cherry on top. Then the delicious appetizers and main courses came flooding in.

I love how she's a big fan of food, not like other girls who always claim they have to watch what they eat. She didn't seem to mind, and her body wasn't too slim or too curvy.. She was just perfect. For a few seconds i wondered where it all goes, the food i mean. Then she looked at me, smiled and i forgot what i was thinking.

" Wahab? " She asked and i blinked, surprised " hmm? "

She giggled " Shfeek sar7an? "

I gave her a devilish smile and she quickly understood, she blushed and stared at her plate

" Here try this, " She picked up the spoon and fed me something " It's baby chicken with avocado's "

I HATED avocados, 'til she made me try them with that chicken. But i didn't tell her that, i just smiled and ate as she fed me, she seemed to enjoy it and i didn't mind.

" So why did you cancel the other day were you okay? you sounded weird.. " I asked casually, and then she was caught by surprise, flipping the spoon by mistake and making it fall on the ground, splashing a little sauce on my new shirt.

I was surprised to see her that way, she almost seemed.. scared. I looked at her with huge question marks over my brain, but i was mostly concerned about her.

" Am so sorry! " She was even more nervous, she tried picking the spoon off the ground but i stopped her, holding her hand.. But she took it away and reached for a napkin " Look at what i did to you, am so sorry .. " She picked up and napkin and reached for my shirt, trying to wipe it with all her strength

" Hey hey.. it's okay.. " I told her gently " It's okay " I took away the napkin, held her hand closer to my chest and pulled her towards me " Am sorry, if you don't want to tell me that's fine ". Her head was right below my chin and i breathed into her hair, i could feel her heart pounding.. But it slowed down as she settled and relaxed more into my huge arms.

" Noooo " She looked up, " It's not that.. i was just caught by surprise by the question that's all " She giggled nervously, but i knew it was much more than that..

" That's okay, i never saw you this nervous before.. and i kind of like it " I smiled crookedly at her and she made a face

" Here " I picked up my spoon and made her try my steak " Mmm goood " she smiled, and i lifted my eyebrows

" You don't like it do you?! " I asked

She crinkled her nose and smiled " Umm i think i need one more bite.. "

I smiled and fed her once again, " Now? " i asked, she looked up as if questioning it " Mmmm i don't know .. " THEN i knew what she was doing

I smiled at her " You're doing this coz you like me feeding you, don't you ? "

" Uhh yes? " She put on a smile and i almost saw a fake halo up her head

I laughed, put the spoon down and looked deep into her eyes and she looked back

" You don't have to do that you know .. inty bas ashray, i'll feed you all you want " I said brushing my finger with her cheek slowly

She didn't move away this time, like she always did when she felt shy..

She held my gaze a little longer than she did before and then looked down at the table

" Yalla, presents " i said

" No am not done with my food " She suddenly said

" Bawaklich b3d shway, bs awal a36eech el hadeyya "

" Akeed? "

I laughed and picked up the bag off the floor

I knew she was struggling when i was opening the box, she wasn't the most patient person in the world

I looked at her in the process, she was wide eyed like a kid waiting for his ice cream to be ready "Wayed 3ndech action w fu'6ool ma tgderen tan6eren afta7 el hadeyya ? "

" La2.. yo3ana magdar an6er 3ala ma akil marra thanya, bashof shkither yabeelik tba6il el hadeyya "

I stopped opening her gift and she giggled " am kidding! "

She laughed " Wahab "

I took out the small silver necklace and reached for her neck to put it on, she seemed to shiver when i moved closer, i could see her breathing was heavier and her chest was moving with every breath.. She didn't look at me, she just waited for me to finish as i put it on

While i was straightening it, i noticed a few red marks in her neck, and a few more circles down near the heart shaped crystal, i was taken aback at first, i wondered (what was going on there?!)

I looked at her shifting in her seat " I had a little accident the other day at the dentist " She giggled " You how clumsy i can get and with the kids around " She tried to laugh but it didn't come out right to me.. i couldn't tell her a thing.. nor could i figure out what was up

I was mostly angry for her, angry at the thing that caused it and angry because she felt like she couldn't tell me

But we were having the most wonderful time and i didn't want to ruin it, i tried so hard to believe what she told me .. but if there was an expert in cuts and bruises, it was me. I figured it was just an accident she was embarrassed to tell me about .. or would tell me about eventually just not now. I could see her face, she was so sad, she felt uncomfortable and she wasn't smiling any more..

I quickly moved towards her and kissed the crown of her head " Salamat " I whispered to her, she looked up at me and her eyelashes tickled my chin, i smiled at her and i could feel her breath on my cheek

I kissed her cheek and she giggled again, i was glad.

I loved her childish grin, her crazy attitude and her silliness " NOW you can eat " I jokingly said " Not until i give you your gift, she picked up a box and opened it, it was a black watch with a silver frame, there were small silver initials in the middle ( D&G) and i loved it. It seemed like the type of thing i'd wear

" So every "time" you'd remember me! " she was excited " Get it? " she laughed " AND so you wouldn't be late again " She teased

I grinned and pulled her closer to me " Thank you " i told her, she tried to put it on my wrist "Perfect"

" Yes, you are " I took her hand into mine " NOW you should eat " I told her " Am not that hungry anymore " She blushed " Let's go, " I paid, and lead her to the car

We rolled down the windows, the weather was amazingly good, Shaikha's hair was flying and she was smiling all the way. We cruised a bit by the sea side and i never let go of her hand while i was driving, when i pressed her hand she pressed back

I had this plan, a surprise for her.. we didn't take long at the restaurant and there was still 3 hours until i had to take her home; so i drove in silence and we were both listening to Mu6rif's CD that was in my car. She was too happy i could tell, she even forgot to ask me where we were going

But of course the road was a bit long so she asked me midway " so where are you taking me now? "

" You'll see " I smiled

She didn't push it, she just waited.. But i could tell she recognized the way

" Shalaih " She grinned as we were close to pulling up to park

" I had to bring you to the first place we met "

She grinned

I lead her out and we took a very long walk along the shore, she took off her shoes and walked close to me, we talked until we were tired, The lights were all reflected on the surface of the sea and it was beautiful and calm, the sounds of the waves crashing and tickling our feet calmed us down. It was like this place missed us and was welcoming us back

On the way back, we passed by our shalaih's , next to each other.. abandoned after a long time, well, at least mine looked like it was abandoned..

When we were close enough, Shaikha freezed, squeezed my hand and held me back from moving

She seemed to be lost for words, " I had the place arranged by Mulla il 9iby .. "

She didn't talk, but she seemed to tear up. The place looked beyond incredible, i should give Mulla a very generous amount of money for what he did.

The front porch was all decorated by red flower petals laying around everywhere, small electric lights were decorating the top of the front fence and there was a table with a small box, and two chairs by it

She let go of my hand and hurried there, " This is beautiful .. " She looked around, then.. being Shaikha ATTACKED the box

There was a small cake inside and she grinned " There's no anniversary without cake " I told her, we sat and ate for a while

We were silent then, we had nothing to say we were just happy. Shaikha leaned on my chest for warmth, the cold breeze from the sea was attacking us but we didn't care

" Thank you, " She told me, not looking up " For everything " She whispered to me

" And thank you for being mine " I whispered back

Just then , interrupting the moment, was her mobile, It was time to go.

" C'mmon " we walked to the car, Mulla was standing beside it, i winked at him and gestured for him to clean up and he grinned at me

" Yalla aga7i9 feech lel bait " I said

" Wahab gilna our anniversary bs la teshta6 wayed i think you did enough for one day " I laughed and drove off

Then i got a text from 3baid:

You won't believe what just happened, i'll tell you when you get home.

I would’ve pushed it even more, but he sounded serious and angry.. so I just dropped it “ So here we come DYNAMITE!!” I shouted to lighten up the mood and he smiled

“Hathy 7ilwa..” i held out a Swarovski necklace with a small crystal heart, it was beautiful. I imagined it on her, reflecting her dark hair and eyes and I quickly had the urge to buy it

“ Yeah that one’s nice” 3bdallah agreed

“ Baby!” I suddenly answered the phone, terrified! Hoping she didn’t see me.. I laughed nervously when I realized she was at home “ Ee ana m3a 3baid.. eheh.. ee adeg ana b3dain” I sighed after I shut the phone

I was so excited the next day, I couldn’t wait to see her. I couldn’t wait to give her the present. I took a long shower, got dressed in the newest shirt I bought from La Martina yesterday (3baid’s idea ofcourse) and was ready to go

“ Hey you..” She said into the phone, but she sounded muffled

“ Babe what’s wrong? “

“ Nothing.. nothing just umm.. can.. I know today’s is super important and I know we’ve been waiting for it but.. can we do it some other time?”

My heart sank, I was disappointed but mostly scared, what was up?

“ S-sure of course whatever you want, but can you at least tell me what’s wrong?”

“ No don’t worry walah it’s okay.. I just need to go with my father to do something and it might take a while”

“ I’ll wait for you, any time you’re ready boo” I said holding the phone tighter to my ear, hoping she’d still come

“ It’s just..” She wanted to say something I knew it” Just not today Wahhabii..” The way she said my name while she breathed into it, it was like something was aching in her, like she was hurting

“ Whatever you want” I said worriedly

“ Okay.. I’ll talk to you later” she said and quickly hung up

I was worried sick, but hoped for the best

3baid walked into the hospital, said hello to a few people at the register and checked in to arrange the appointments for his dad

“ No I told you I don’t need this, no! swair it’s a bad idea “ 3baid heard someone say behind him, he took a quick glance behind him then looked again

IT was Shaikha! What was this?

A girl was playing around with the wheelchair and Shaikha was sitting on it, she was mad.. VERY mad. The girl was fooling around and Shaikha didn’t want to be seated in there he could tell

“ Sara my dad is waiting “ She said, she suddenly met the eyes of 3baid then she flinched, quickly looking away

Her friend turned away and quickly disappeared into the hospital

He shook his head, she couldn’t have possibly skipped her anniversary to come play on a hospital chair .. But didn’t Wahab say she worked in some sort of clinic? Maybe she was working.. or maybe she was here with someone and was goofing around out of boredom..She didn’t look sick, did she?

3baid shook those thoughts away, he only saw her for a split second.. plus, she will surely explain it later to Wahab.. He didn’t have the right to talk about this. Maybe it was personal, or maybe she would tell all to Wahab later.

He left the hospital and washed those thoughts way, heading straight to 3ammar’s house.

While all the guys were sitting there, Wahab’s phone rang and he took it outside. 3baid smiled knowing it was Shaikha.. “ Good, “ He thought, “ It’ll all be cleared out to him now, it’s none of my business”.

Wahab got back and sat next to him” Soo” 3baid winked “ Was it her?”

He smiled widely” Yea.. she just got caught up.. We’re meeting next weekend for sure”

3baid smiled” Cool, Yalla shabaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaab!!” He suddenly shouted “ Kout bo 6!! “ wahab smiled and jumped in to join the circle

The following week seemed to have taken forever to come. AbdulWahab was more than excited to see his girl again..

“Yalla mashy, goom bs la nt2a5ar “

While the boys drove , listening to Mu6rif’s sweet tunes Wahab suddenly shouted “ KART!!”

“ 3baid kart! Ma sharaitlaha kart!!”

“ Yalla degeega w yay!” He left the engine running, and 3baid stayed in the car

Abdullah laughed, the girl got his cousin sprung ..

3baid was glad Wahab seemed so happy.. after all he’s been through 3 months ago, no one would recognize him now..

He was the scariest guy, a very dark sense of humor.. most people looked away when he passed them! They were too afraid he’d start a fight.

Now he was different, he seemed calm and collected.. he seemed HAPPY. He laughed and joked and his face got it’s color back.. 3bdallah was glad.. he actually wanted to thank Shaikha . She must be some girl to have did all this.

The door was opened and closed so fast making the noisiest sound ever, it was like a rock being broken

“ Woah woooow! What up dude?!!” 3baid said

Wahab didn’t talk, he just pushed the gas pedal as hard as possible, making the car SQUEACK in the process

“ whayyib shway shway shfeek ga7a9t?!! yannait??!!!”

Wahab didn’t seem to be with him at the moment

“ Whayyib! Shfeek?!” 3baid repeated

“ It’s her..”

“ WHAT?! Who? Shaikha? “

“ It’s her.. the girl I was telling you about..”

3baid was confused.. then he quickly remembered “ Oh no.. not that girl again.. “

Wahab seemed determined, he was following her

Wahab didn’t answer him

“ Whayyib.. shfeek ya5ook 5alha twally shfeek..”

3baid saw that scary looking face again, there was NO talking him out of anything.. Wahab was PISSED

“ GODDD!!!” HE suddenly shouted, I” lost her!”

“ Wahab! Ge6ny bser3a w goom roo7 7g el bent! Ent yannait?! Shfeek? 5alha twally yuba shal salfa ele mo ra’6ya t5ali9? “

Wahab calmed down again, he seemed to realize what he was doing

“ You’re right.. am sorry I didn’t know what’s gotten into me” he slowly said

“ It’s not me you should apologize to.. it’s nearly 8 your girl is waiting “

Wahab looked at the clock, he looked broken.. he quickly picked up the phone and called her. Luckily she had just arrived at the restaurant and he just finished dropping 3baid off

“ Go get her dog “ 3baid punched his cousin “ and DRIVE , el tag7eeee9 el sa3a 9 3nd bara7at 7mayin bacher mo elyoom! soog wely y3afeek roo7 7g el bnya “

He laughed and drove off

When he finally arrived, he saw Shaikha wearing a light silver blouse with small crystal beads all over it and very long flowy white trousers, she looked like magic .. and the necklace would go great with it.

What the hell was I thinking?, Wahab wondered, She smiled when she saw him approach and he smiled back

How could I leave THIS waiting for me?.. He thought mesmerized by her, The waiter closed the door of their private table and he slowly sat beside her, she was still smiling shyly, when wahab looked deeper into her eyes, she looked away “ Am sorry “ He said gently

“ For what? I didn’t wait long..” She told him

“ Am just sorry “ He whispered to her again and she grinned at him

Wahab saw his father looking at some old pictures of Canada, PIctures that Kenzii took. Then he managed to kidnap Shaikha out of the boring party at her house and took her to a playground at the beach



3baid had realized it was Shaikha at the hospital, holding a big file of X-rays at the Cardiology department but didn't tell Wahab assuming it was for her dad who was walking along with her

Wahab had been seeing a weird girl who seemed to be almost everywhere he was, then disappearing immediately after he saw her..

" 7abeebee.." She was brushing her hand against my face while i laid my head on her lap


I was deeply asleep and we were both sitting on a very green grass, i didn't know exactly where we were, but the weather had a nice fresh breeze and the grass felt soft and tender beneath me



I tried to open my eyes and looked up to see her soft pale skin, her light hair and wide eyes staring at me



" K-kkenzii ?? " i had a hard time saying it, what the hell was going on? where was i? why was she here?



" They said you were .. they said that it's over that you weren't- " But before i could continue, She was running across the green field so fast before i could catch a breath



" No no no .. no wait .. Kenzii " My voice was gone, don't you hate that when it happens? in dreams, when you want to scream as hard as your lungs could pull out but your voice was on mute




" NO!" I woke up shaking, astonished but then relieved that it was all just a dream


I rubbed my eyes glad it's over, what he hell?!



I went downstairs to drink a glass of water, passing by my fathers office on the way back. I stood by the door thinking whether i should go in and i finally did. He was asleep ofcourse, so i took my time and found the box, i sat down and looked at the pictures again


But there was a small picture that fell out of my reach, i picked it up and wished i hadn't..


It was her, back when she was healthy and happy, back when there was still roses on her small cheeks. She was making a face while looking at the camera sticking her tongue out, i loved it when she made that face. I tried to swallow and thought long and hard, she's gone, it's been years this is not right. I put it back in the box, Said a short prayer and i left



This wasn't fair, i had Shaikha. She helped me come out of my shell and made me a different person, she made me forget that scary, angry guy in the black hoodie

" No you have to hold your finger up " I heard Lulu say



" Like this? " a very bored, sleepy voice was saying



" Yes just like a princess " I said as i walked in to see 3baid and the little angel Lulu, his sister sitting on a small table with tea and cupcakes

Now now i know what most of you are thinking : "hathy mn wain 6al3a" some of you might even be very upset with me too ;p Well am sorry i've been laying low these past months but i had A LOT going on ;( but the good news is! am here and back with a new post! hopefully a kick-butt awesome one too! so getting away from all the tension and the finals and the studying here's your post!

" Oh hey dad, i didn't know you were home " i entered the office of my father to see him sitting there with a small box in front of him " I just saw the light was one and i came to-"

I looked at him waiting for him to speak again,

His voice was suddenly smaller, i was taken aback by the response but it was okay hearing it .. i guess, i didn't know what i really felt.



I moved a bit closer to his desk but i saw my dad move in his chair, he was uncomfortable , he tried to arrange some papers laying there as well, a newspaper and finally the pictures..



But i took a few before he reached for that pile, then a small one fell on the floor and i reached for it



The picture was of me..


Dressing up in my dark grey hoodie, my face almost hidden , my half smile and my pale color showing only from the side .. and i quickly felt my body flench




I remember this , i remember the exact moment it happened..



My father was ordering at some diner back in Canada and me and Kenzii were hanging outside , she had just bought a new camera she was excited about anf she was snapping pictures of everything that came her way, knowing i wasn't a picture person she pushed me even more to do it..



But all i gave her was half a smile , ofcourse .. all the emotion of happiness i could take out at that time



I didn't want to remember this, i didn;t want to feel this ..




It was weird and uncomfortable and .. well sad.


theni knew why my father wasn't inviting me over to see these, i tried to put it back in the box but then i saw more pictures, of places mostly .. the old cheese shop, a historical pole by the street next to our house.. the garden my dad used to sit and read in ..



And then i had to be out of there, i've seen enough for one day i guess




I wasn't as sensitive about it like before though so that was good, but it wasn't easy either


" I'll see you dad " I said before i walked out, my father was startled too and even he didn't know what to say


" Bye son " i heard him call after me



It was no one's fault, i wasn't mad at anyone this time, i wasn't miserable either i just wanted to go get some peace.



I drove for a while smelling the beautiful night air listening to my favorite Mu6rif songs..


Some of the things i picked up from my boys here, when suddenly i got a phone call and i instantly felt a little perkier than before




" Hey " she said casually into the phone and i imagined her pretty face



" Hey you "


" So are you ready to be kidnapper for the day? "



" Woah wooooow hold it , we just finished the whole prince and cinderella thing take it easy on me am still learning these things, and plus i didn't say i'll play these crazy games of yours again "



She laughed at me " Well am about to change that attitude of yours, am at this boring thing and i can't stay here a minute longer it's all old people and business and weird memories that i don't even remember "



" What? i thought you're still at that store waving at people, didn't that lady hire you? "



" Are you coming or not? "



I found myself laughing and driving by the directions she gave me



I pulled the car near what looked like Shaikha's description and waited for her , waited for a WHILE



Fast enough i jumped as the locks of my car were being tackled and all i saw was a body jumping in my back seat and telling me to "GO GO GO!"



I parked at the nearby beach just like she asked me to , and got down to open up the door for her



I saw her long leg touch the ground at first , then she was able to come out, holding my hand for support



" Oh my god those shoes were impossible i had to take them off! " I never seen a person breathe and speak so fast



I stood there , bedazzled again looking at her glowing with her bare feet and a long light purple dress. Her short hair was straightened and was held by a small silver band



" That dress is not fair "



She smiled at me and gave me a smile that made me weak



" Am serious she should've hired you , people won't resist coming in the store "



" Let's go " She took my hand and lead me to small area that looked like a playground by the shore



" What is this "



" My favorite place on earth "



She slightly lifted her long dress so she could walk around the sand, her bare feet beautifully gliding in and out of the sand and i just followed her, amazed by her



" So you want to tell me how you managed to escape? "



" It was one of the most dangerous exciting things i've done so far "



" Am surprised you haven't bungee jumped without strings "

" Well lucky for you , am giving you the pleasure of my company " She surprised me as she turned around brushing against my chest smiling

She turned around again and gracefully slid on one of the swings , " Come push me "




I smiled and went to stand behind her , slowly balancing the swing " the weather is amazing today " i said, trying to distract myself from looking at her, even watching her from the back was just as pretty



" I know " She closed her eyes and enjoyed the moment " This is one of the things i love "



" Oh yeah? then we're doing this every day "



" Yeah , this and snow "



" Snow?! "



" Yes "



" Okay that's it , it's my turn next "



She laughed at me and the nice breeze carried her lovely smelling perfume through my nostrils


" I wanna jump out " She suddenly said

" After all this effort am giving to push you no way ! "



She giggled " i am "



" Shaikha stay where you little lady i don;t know much about clothes but that dress wasn't designed for jumping "




She giggled again and i knew she wasn't listening to me , so i hurried in front and found myself holding her as soon as she stood up



She lowered her head and focused her gaze at me " I told you i wanted to jump "



" And i said no way " I looked down at her the same way




" You're ruining my jumping boy "



" am sure you have plenty of time to do that later "



" You're just holding me like this because you're afraid am gonna run and then no one will push you on the swing "

She giggled and slowly put her hands around my neck

They all laughed and continued on with their food forgetting everything about the conversation earlier



Once the boys were done, they took a little tour of the place before heading to the parking lot

Whayyib turned without much consciousness suddenly to realize it was the same girl from the restaurant , staring him down like she was on a mission .. like she was about to attack ..



Just when Wahab started staring back, frowning to recognize her features she suddenly turned and disappeared into the crowd




" Thats it " Wahab snapped and suddenly started walking there without any notice for his best friends



" Wow whayyib where are you going man ?! " 7amanni called after him

" Oh no , i just hope he doesnt do anything stupid ," 3baid sighed and quickly ran after him " Whayiibbb "



But there was no use , the pace of Wahab's legs and the weight in his steps said something was up ..



The look on his face was not securing at all..



Something BAD was about to happen , 3baid just knew it




Finally after being able to catch up with his cousin's crazy marathon, 3baid found Wahab standing in the parking lot breathing heavily and too buried in his own thoughts



" DUDE, you scared the hell out of me what's going on ? "



Wahab didn't turn around " It was her .. am POSITIVE " He said through his gritted teeth , it's been a loooong time since 3baid saw his cousin so scary looking ..



A very very long time. He sort of reminded him of the old Wahab ..

He didn't want to push it so he decided to wait for Wahab to calm down, when they were half way home , Wahab started to talk

Shaikha was half asleep in her friend's car, her heart was still pounding and butterflies won't go away , the time she had with 3bdelWahab was just .. perfect.



" Just .. be careful " Shaikha suddenly slapped herself back into reality hearing her fried out. And even though it's only been a little while, she felt like she'd known 3bdelwahab all her life. Like Wahab had said, there was a certain vibe people often got from him. But she didn't see it, he may have been a lot of things in the past, but he wasn't anymore.. at least not with her.

Here sat Shaikha , the bravest, craziest, most beautiful girl she knew talking about making some guy's life a " happy summer " again , while her own was in jeopardy.

For an entire week i didn't hear from Shaikha except for the various texts we sent each other every once in a while. I didn't know what was going on with her and i didn't want to be impolite and ask. If she wanted to tell me something, she'd tell me in her own terms, i told myself.



I was in the shower when i heard my phone ring, " Whayyib ! el7ag el9a7ba gam tdeg !" I heard 3baid shout, he knew i was eager to hear from her. Even though i tried to hide it every single time he brought the subject of her up, he caught me. It was no secret that i missed her ever since i saw her the other day at the cafe and she turned my offers to go out down. Both offers.



" Uhh .. can you get it man? am kind of busy, just tell her i'll call right back " i called out



" Uhh .. o-kay .. " I heard uncertainty in his voice , but he picked up the phone anyway " Alow " He answered in his very 3baid like voice, friendly but not too eager voice, i heard a pause go on for a while .. then i heard him say " Uhh.. no, this is 3baid Wahab's cousin, yeah he's in the shower right now i'll tell him to call you right back.. alright.. Bye. "



I finally stepped out of the bathroom to see my cousin's face totally dumbfounded and i laughed " Shfee wayhik "



" Duuude .. " He shook his head " Just call the girl "




I laughed again at his face , picked up the phone and went to the other room so i can change.



" How about i see you today? " I wanted to fake indifference , but i was just RELIEVED she suggested it. I really did want to see her.




" Today's great. Just tell me when and where " i shut the phone and went in again to see 3baid laying on the bed staring at the ceiling

" uhh .. This isn't exactly what i had in mind " I entered to see a room full of kids crying and screaming , others were just sitting there , scared. Perhaps i didn't mention where i was , i was at a private dental office. Yes, a dental office.



God knows what Shaikha had in mind for our " hangout " but i was scared. honestly , i was even more scared than those kids. Kind of.



" AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH " Another girl with pretty honey locks of hair sat in a chair crying her eyes out , her mouth wide open and her father was sitting helplessly next to her, probably out of encouragement words and wanting to cry himself.


I approached a young kid about 6 years old with chocolate skin and very short hair formed in little curls, and sat next to him.



" Hey man, " the boy looked at me with his wide eyes and wasn't interested at all , i tried to form what should've been a smile but am sure it was something completely different that made the boy turn his head with even less interest than before




" So , scary place? " I asked and he looked at me again with the same cold expression " No? oh okay than guess you're the tough dude around here. But guess it's good to see other kids cry and scream and you're the one who gets the sticker and the pride of being strong after all huh? " I joked and tried to playfully punch him ,but his eyes grew wider , waiting for me to finish as if he had more interesting things to do than sit and listen to me




" Wahab ! " I heard someone clap and i lifted my head to see a tall, tanned beauty infront of me, she was wearing what appeared to be a white coat and her straight black hair was up in a ponytail. She looked simply distracting.



I got up "Hello " i said smiling crookedly at her " Is this another weird one of your things? you're secretly a baby Dr. ? no no wait , you run this business to scare the hell out of little kids just for fun "



" Am glad you came " She grinned at me , the grin that scares but also excites me " and What were you saying to that poor kid? " she moved her head around my shoulder to look at the boy i was next to, He was tilting his head to look at us




" 5 minutes and you already made a friend huh? " She said smiling




" yeah a pretty good friend too " i said sarcastically



She looked at me like she knew what i was up to



" So where exactly would we hang out , you wana sit on those little chairs and play with the blocks , or you wana go sit in the pink waiting room where everyone has a huge cotton in their mouth ? "




" No silly. Remember when i told you i volunteer for my sister's dental office? "




" Yyyess.. " I said carefully examining her face



" Well here i am! and you're doing it with me! " There's that scary grin again




" Uh-oh .." i said still looking at her hoping she'd laugh and say it was a joke, but with this girl .. nothing was a joke.



" C'mmon , you're going to give away toothbrushes! " She said excitedly and led the way



" Brush your teeth " I warned a little boy holding his cotton ball in his mouth tightly " No one likes bad teeth , you're not gonna get gir- " Shaikha stood behind him and made a gesture for me to stop talking " gggood grades! " I finally said and she grinned




The kid looked confused but took the toothbrush anyway



Another girl came in line and i handed her the toothbrush " You should brush your teeth everyday, no matter how beautiful you are those teeth are going to ruin your l-" Interrupted again by Shaikha's hand gestures , i stopped and smile " Your lovely teeth " i softened my voice and the girl left , well, at least that one didn't glare at me. I thought.



Another kid came "Look , dude. Just brush your teeth okay? you get this toothbrush right here and you wash em up alright? " The kid nodded with big dopey eyes and hurried away



I got up " this job is harder than i thought " i complained. Shaikha crossed her hands and looked at me " But am glad you're here to make it easier " I moved closer to her



" Nice save " she giggled and turned away quickly before i could speak or get lost in her sharp features again. So i went back to my toothbrushes



" Oh no no no no please don't cry , please don't cry " I heard Shaikha say in her melody-like voice , i looked up to see her calming a scruffy looking kid who didn't look pleased




The kid was crying silently but all the others were looking at him and were scared as well. This isn't good , i thought. Shaikha then turned her head to look at me with a pleading look




" Me , no " I signaled for her , what the hell did i know about calming kids?



Not able to resist her face i got up anyway, " Hey .. " I managed to say at the short dude , He stopped crying for a second and looked up at me




" What's wrong little man? " I knelled down to his level " You're teeth are hurting? "



The kid nodded, Shaikha smiled and walked away feeling like i could handle it. But i couldn't! I looked like a sick kid myself when i saw her walk away from me




" Uhh .. " I looked at the boy again " i um- hate when that hAPPENS too " i nodded " But you know what the best part is? if you brush your teeth after every ice cream cone and candy cane you eat you're good to go! " The boy looked up at me with a ray of hope in his eyes



" Am serious man you can have the whole deal, candy, chocolates and milkshakes. But you gotta brush okay? and don't over do it! " I warned again and he stared at me in fear, " But girls LOVE a guy with good teeth , " I winked at him and he laughed at me. " And also, don't tell the tall pretty girl over there i said that " He nodded and smiled. Phew, i thought. That didn't go so bad.



I got up again and saw Shaikha from afar calling the names of the children in office to go in, i paused for a second to just stare at her like i always do When i want to have the time to analyze her. She was weird , with the craziest theories and ideas i've ever heard, but maybe that's what's gotten me so sprung up. I dont know what exactly she had on me, i was standing in a dental office trying to stop kids form going wild. I played it over in my head and thought it would be a very funny joke to tell the guys, But for that moment, i just wanted to enjoy it.




I hadn't done anything like this before. But , for what it's worth .. I actually enjoyed it.



Shaikha finally looked my way and smiled.



" Ready to go hang out with people older than the age of 7? " She asked as she took her lab coat off



I smiled at her and bit my lip " There's one particular person i had in mind " She giggled and i followed her outside




" But please , take me anywhere that doesnt have desserts, i got scared after i saw all those cavities "



" There goes my appetite " i commented

" Thanks S " She kissed her friend's cheek and got in to see her father sipping on a cup of coffee and reading a small brown book. She bit her lip and hoped she wasn't too late for her usual curfew. Not that there was one, Her father was tired of making rules then forgetting he actually made them, but Shaikha liked to give the credit of the rules she made up to her old man. It was fun! was how she described it , her friends all thought she was crazy for doing so



" We all wish our parents forget the rules and curfews they give us! and you PRETEND that your father does that? " they would say




" I just don't want to hurt his feelings, i want him to feel like he's doing a great job being a father. You know, like every other parent " She'd blush




" Oh sweetie no matter what he does, it's in your brain you're a lunatic he can't make it better " Lamia would pat on her back




But she didn't care. It made her father feel happy, it made him feel like he was taking good care of her, which he was .. but in his own sweet way. As a kid she watched her aunts scold their kids when they ate chocolates before dinner, and her father would look at her grinning because no one knew they shared ice cream before bed, or watched Tv while working or doing homework ..



He was overprotective in many ways, but he refused to show her that. He didn't want to show her that after he made a promise to her .. a promise not to control her life and assume the worst. At least not in front of her face.



Shaikha had an amazing life and an incredible father, but she grew tired and angry when his parenting methods were questioned. Too much ice cream and Tv were just the start, her aunts would tell him. What was he going to do when she went to college? Everyone would ask, That's why Shaikha did this ..




To help her father realize that not only he was doing what every other parent was doing, but only better.



" Hey daddy " She hugged him from the back of his neck

" Sam7an told me about you not wanting to go back .. " Her heart sank, Okay now she was scared

" Uhh what- what did he tell you? " She looked nervous but her dad was still looking at his book, his voice casual



Good sign , she guessed

She quickly giggled , poor Sam7an .. he's a good man.

" Good then, did you have fun? " he finally closed the book to look at her

Shaikha glanced at the wall clock which showed it was exactly 9;40 and tried to hide her smile



She knew he didn't even know what time it was, but he felt like it was his fatherly duty to say so. Bless him, she thought.



She wasn't making fun of him or taking him for granted. But the contrary, every day she'd love him more and more for trying to be everything for her and being there every step of the way, even though Shaikha knew .. he was lost without her mother as well.




" Night daddy " She kissed his cheek , ran upstairs and slipped into her PJ's




She checked her phone but there was nothing. She was kind of hoping there was something there from Wahab ..




Sure it's been like 15 minutes since she saw him , but .. it wouldn't hurt. would it?




She smiled and put the phone down , laying her pretty head on the pillow ready to dream about his sexy scars and those strong arms that held her by the sea.
