Hellloooooo bloggers!


Now now i know what most of you are thinking : "hathy mn wain 6al3a" some of you might even be very upset with me too ;p Well am sorry i've been laying low these past months but i had A LOT going on ;( but the good news is! am here and back with a new post! hopefully a kick-butt awesome one too! so getting away from all the tension and the finals and the studying here's your post!

3baid noticed a tall, cocoa skinned young lady in sweats and a pony tail whom didn't take much notice of him and she looked very familiar except .. he couldn't quite remember where he'd seen her before. She was alone holding alot of papers and one big envelope he'd guessed as X-rays

At the restaurant, Whayyib turned without much consciousness suddenly to realize it was the same girl from the restaurant , staring him down


" Thats it " Wahab snapped and suddenly started walking there without any notice for his best friends



" It was the girl from the supermarket 3baid .. it must be "


Then 3bdaid suddenly remembered seeing her at the hospital today. Was he supposed to talk to Wahab about that?

" Where are you? " I said into the phone smiling


A beautiful childish giggle came through the other end of my phone " Am not saying "

" c'mon Shayou5 it's a weird coincidence we're at the same place w we just figured it out please tell me where you are "

Just when she said that I gazed up to see a big sign with the store's name on it

" Am here.. outside , where are you? "



" In the dressing room "



" That would make me a weirdo , a freak and a criminal if i come in "



There was that giggle again

" What? " I asked before i went on walking

She giggled again and i felt someone was watching me so i turned to see from the store's glass window , relatively far a tall beautiful object was smiling at me , doing a little wave




" Woah " was all that escaped my mouth

" What are you doing ? "



" Waving at you outside the dressing room, they don't let me out further wearing this dress "



I couldn't see properly because of the dresses that were stalked all over the store, all i saw was was her standing tall with a pretty face



" Okay.. why don't you change and come out, we could go somewhere.. eat or talk.. "




" No "



" Again , what's up babe you slept on the wrong side of bed last nighT? or did you get a visit from the no monster? "



She laughed " Hey you picked up the story of the no monster at the dentist "



" Yeah well , you made me spend all that time with those kids "




" Oh stop they weren't that bad , you loved it! "

" Nooo it's more fin this way " and she waved again




" Oh so am the weirdo here? that lady should kick you out of her store "



" Oh i didn't say am not a weirdo, people just don't know it yet "



I kept staring at her, i couldn't look away " I missed you , you know "



" I missed you even more " she looked at me and we gazed at each other for a while, then the lady inside stared at me too which ruined the moment. I saw Shaikha smile and get back in the dressing room




" Heeey you went just like thaT? "



" Like i said , it's more fun this way "



" When will i see you again ? "



" I don't know , i told you we have this party at house today.. "



" Yeah which explains cinderella's dress"



" You really learned alot from those kids huh? "



" Moving on shaikha "



" I'll try to call you tonight if it's as awaful as i think it will be "



" Okay.." I said slowly walking away towards the store where i left 3baid looking through a maze of T-shirts

" No way you're still here?! " i told 3baid as i entered the shop he was in



" Don't look at me like that , i took some time while i was trying a few T-shirts in the fitting room "



" Yeah i bet you didn't stand there waving at people form the shop's window huh? "

" Nevermind just pay am starving "

" Oh hey dad, i didn't know you were home " i entered the office of my father to see him sitting there with a small box in front of him " I just saw the light was one and i came to-"




" Nevermind son "



" What are looking at? "



" Ah just some pictures.. "



" Oh is that from that trip we took i-"



" Ah no no.. " He seemed to have interrupted me fast, he suddenly seemed uneasy ..



I looked at him waiting for him to speak again,



" It's just ahh.. nothing just.. some pictures from uhh .. you know when we were at Canada.. "



His voice was suddenly smaller, i was taken aback by the response but it was okay hearing it .. i guess, i didn't know what i really felt.



I moved a bit closer to his desk but i saw my dad move in his chair, he was uncomfortable , he tried to arrange some papers laying there as well, a newspaper and finally the pictures..



But i took a few before he reached for that pile, then a small one fell on the floor and i reached for it



The picture was of me..


Dressing up in my dark grey hoodie, my face almost hidden , my half smile and my pale color showing only from the side .. and i quickly felt my body flench




I remember this , i remember the exact moment it happened..



My father was ordering at some diner back in Canada and me and Kenzii were hanging outside , she had just bought a new camera she was excited about anf she was snapping pictures of everything that came her way, knowing i wasn't a picture person she pushed me even more to do it..



But all i gave her was half a smile , ofcourse .. all the emotion of happiness i could take out at that time



I didn't want to remember this, i didn;t want to feel this ..




It was weird and uncomfortable and .. well sad.


theni knew why my father wasn't inviting me over to see these, i tried to put it back in the box but then i saw more pictures, of places mostly .. the old cheese shop, a historical pole by the street next to our house.. the garden my dad used to sit and read in ..



And then i had to be out of there, i've seen enough for one day i guess




I wasn't as sensitive about it like before though so that was good, but it wasn't easy either


" I'll see you dad " I said before i walked out, my father was startled too and even he didn't know what to say


" Bye son " i heard him call after me



It was no one's fault, i wasn't mad at anyone this time, i wasn't miserable either i just wanted to go get some peace.



I drove for a while smelling the beautiful night air listening to my favorite Mu6rif songs..


Some of the things i picked up from my boys here, when suddenly i got a phone call and i instantly felt a little perkier than before




" Hey " she said casually into the phone and i imagined her pretty face



" Hey you "


" So are you ready to be kidnapper for the day? "



" Woah wooooow hold it , we just finished the whole prince and cinderella thing take it easy on me am still learning these things, and plus i didn't say i'll play these crazy games of yours again "



She laughed at me " Well am about to change that attitude of yours, am at this boring thing and i can't stay here a minute longer it's all old people and business and weird memories that i don't even remember "



" What? i thought you're still at that store waving at people, didn't that lady hire you? "



" Are you coming or not? "



I found myself laughing and driving by the directions she gave me



I pulled the car near what looked like Shaikha's description and waited for her , waited for a WHILE



Fast enough i jumped as the locks of my car were being tackled and all i saw was a body jumping in my back seat and telling me to "GO GO GO!"



I parked at the nearby beach just like she asked me to , and got down to open up the door for her



I saw her long leg touch the ground at first , then she was able to come out, holding my hand for support



" Oh my god those shoes were impossible i had to take them off! " I never seen a person breathe and speak so fast



I stood there , bedazzled again looking at her glowing with her bare feet and a long light purple dress. Her short hair was straightened and was held by a small silver band



" That dress is not fair "



She smiled at me and gave me a smile that made me weak



" Am serious she should've hired you , people won't resist coming in the store "



" Let's go " She took my hand and lead me to small area that looked like a playground by the shore



" What is this "



" My favorite place on earth "



She slightly lifted her long dress so she could walk around the sand, her bare feet beautifully gliding in and out of the sand and i just followed her, amazed by her



" So you want to tell me how you managed to escape? "



" It was one of the most dangerous exciting things i've done so far "



" Am surprised you haven't bungee jumped without strings "



" I won't be missed "



" looking like that? i think you'd be missed pretty much "



" Well lucky for you , am giving you the pleasure of my company " She surprised me as she turned around brushing against my chest smiling




" Lucky for you i have the time to drive you around , i get paid by the hour miss "



She turned around again and gracefully slid on one of the swings , " Come push me "




I smiled and went to stand behind her , slowly balancing the swing " the weather is amazing today " i said, trying to distract myself from looking at her, even watching her from the back was just as pretty



" I know " She closed her eyes and enjoyed the moment " This is one of the things i love "



" Oh yeah? then we're doing this every day "



" Yeah , this and snow "



" Snow?! "



" Yes "



" Okay that's it , it's my turn next "



She laughed at me and the nice breeze carried her lovely smelling perfume through my nostrils


" I wanna jump out " She suddenly said



" What? "



" I wanna try to jump out of this "




" After all this effort am giving to push you no way ! "



She giggled " i am "



" Shaikha stay where you little lady i don;t know much about clothes but that dress wasn't designed for jumping "




She giggled again and i knew she wasn't listening to me , so i hurried in front and found myself holding her as soon as she stood up



She lowered her head and focused her gaze at me " I told you i wanted to jump "



" And i said no way " I looked down at her the same way




" You're ruining my jumping boy "



" am sure you have plenty of time to do that later "



" You're just holding me like this because you're afraid am gonna run and then no one will push you on the swing "



" You got me "




She giggled and slowly put her hands around my neck



" and you're tricking me into giving you another ride "




She laughed " You got me "




I reached for the crown of her head and kissed it gently " you hungry? " I asked

Wahab looked over again and she was gone. All thats left was an Indian waiter trying to pick what's left of the food, Now he knew what 7amanni meant



He wiped his forehead and took a long sip from his coke , what the hell was going on in here? Why the HELL was that girl staring at me like that?



3bdallah's phone rang and he pressed ignore and continued on with his food,



" La laah , that can't be good " Wahab commented

" 5 more lolipops, 4 buffalo shrimps and 2 midnight burgers siiiiiirrrr " The waiter suddenly interrupted

They all laughed and continued on with their food forgetting everything about the conversation earlier



Once the boys were done, they took a little tour of the place before heading to the parking lot

The boys were arguing when suddenly 7amanni hit Wahab's arm lightly , " Whayyib la y6oofik ele hnak labsa aswad "




Whayyib turned without much consciousness suddenly to realize it was the same girl from the restaurant , staring him down like she was on a mission .. like she was about to attack ..



Just when Wahab started staring back, frowning to recognize her features she suddenly turned and disappeared into the crowd




" Thats it " Wahab snapped and suddenly started walking there without any notice for his best friends



" Wow whayyib where are you going man ?! " 7amanni called after him



" Shfee hathA? " he heard 3ammar ask



" Oh no , i just hope he doesnt do anything stupid ," 3baid sighed and quickly ran after him " Whayiibbb "



But there was no use , the pace of Wahab's legs and the weight in his steps said something was up ..



The look on his face was not securing at all..



Something BAD was about to happen , 3baid just knew it




Finally after being able to catch up with his cousin's crazy marathon, 3baid found Wahab standing in the parking lot breathing heavily and too buried in his own thoughts



" DUDE, you scared the hell out of me what's going on ? "



Wahab didn't turn around " It was her .. am POSITIVE " He said through his gritted teeth , it's been a loooong time since 3baid saw his cousin so scary looking ..



A very very long time. He sort of reminded him of the old Wahab ..



Wahab before all of this ..



" Whayyib what the hell are you talking about bro? " He put his hand on his shoulder to calm him down. He just hoped wahab wouldn't take a chance to punch him in the face



" Nothin' " He suddenly said and stopped to breathe


" Let's just go " He said , and they both hopped in 3baid's tinted Audii




He didn't want to push it so he decided to wait for Wahab to calm down, when they were half way home , Wahab started to talk



" It was the girl from the supermarket 3baid .. it must be "



3baid suddenly pulled away his foot from the gas pedal to slow down , " Dude .. you sure?"



" 7mayyin seeing her makes her real. I wasn't imagining that night at the supermarket .."



" Bro there were ALOT of girls there wearing black .. "

" And am not saying you are .. "

Wahab's phoe suddenly rang and he picked it up



" Hey baby " he said with His dark, deep voice


Abdullah bit his lip in worry, Wahab's tone didn't change ..



He was still angry as hell ..



What worried him even more was that Shaikha's own voice didn't effect his cousin like it always does , not this time.




Then he suddenly remembered seeing her at the hospital today. Was he supposed to talk to Wahab about that? ofcourse it wasn't his place ..



And He certainly wasn't going to do so now while Wahab was in this condition but, should he?

Shaikha was half asleep in her friend's car, her heart was still pounding and butterflies won't go away , the time she had with 3bdelWahab was just .. perfect.



" Just .. be careful " Shaikha suddenly slapped herself back into reality hearing her fried out. And even though it's only been a little while, she felt like she'd known 3bdelwahab all her life. Like Wahab had said, there was a certain vibe people often got from him. But she didn't see it, he may have been a lot of things in the past, but he wasn't anymore.. at least not with her.


" you know me better than anyone else Swair i KNEW there was something .. something in him that made him so miserable and captured as a prisoner in his own soul. I want to make it GO AWAY "



Here sat Shaikha , the bravest, craziest, most beautiful girl she knew talking about making some guy's life a " happy summer " again , while her own was in jeopardy.

Yes, in spite of her misfortune .. Shaikha had a deeper secret that only the closest people to her knew.

For an entire week i didn't hear from Shaikha except for the various texts we sent each other every once in a while. I didn't know what was going on with her and i didn't want to be impolite and ask. If she wanted to tell me something, she'd tell me in her own terms, i told myself.



I was in the shower when i heard my phone ring, " Whayyib ! el7ag el9a7ba gam tdeg !" I heard 3baid shout, he knew i was eager to hear from her. Even though i tried to hide it every single time he brought the subject of her up, he caught me. It was no secret that i missed her ever since i saw her the other day at the cafe and she turned my offers to go out down. Both offers.



" Uhh .. can you get it man? am kind of busy, just tell her i'll call right back " i called out



" Uhh .. o-kay .. " I heard uncertainty in his voice , but he picked up the phone anyway " Alow " He answered in his very 3baid like voice, friendly but not too eager voice, i heard a pause go on for a while .. then i heard him say " Uhh.. no, this is 3baid Wahab's cousin, yeah he's in the shower right now i'll tell him to call you right back.. alright.. Bye. "



I finally stepped out of the bathroom to see my cousin's face totally dumbfounded and i laughed " Shfee wayhik "



" Duuude .. " He shook his head " Just call the girl "




I laughed again at his face , picked up the phone and went to the other room so i can change.



" How about i see you today? " I wanted to fake indifference , but i was just RELIEVED she suggested it. I really did want to see her.




" Today's great. Just tell me when and where " i shut the phone and went in again to see 3baid laying on the bed staring at the ceiling




" Ha what are we doing today? "



" Went shaku 3ashan tijma3? "



" WhAT? i thought we did everything together " he gave me a dumb look lifting both his hands up in the air



" 3baid , i told you this many times .. just coz your girlfriend left you and you have no life now, you can't take mine "



He gave me a puppy face " No that's only cute when Lulu does it "



" Maaaaaaaaaan " He got up hesitantly " Can we at least go somewhere where there are hot girls later? "




" Fine. Just please give me 10 minutes to get dressed "

" Noooooooooooooooo " A little kid was pulling his hand away from his mother

" uhh .. This isn't exactly what i had in mind " I entered to see a room full of kids crying and screaming , others were just sitting there , scared. Perhaps i didn't mention where i was , i was at a private dental office. Yes, a dental office.



God knows what Shaikha had in mind for our " hangout " but i was scared. honestly , i was even more scared than those kids. Kind of.



" AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH " Another girl with pretty honey locks of hair sat in a chair crying her eyes out , her mouth wide open and her father was sitting helplessly next to her, probably out of encouragement words and wanting to cry himself.


I approached a young kid about 6 years old with chocolate skin and very short hair formed in little curls, and sat next to him.



" Hey man, " the boy looked at me with his wide eyes and wasn't interested at all , i tried to form what should've been a smile but am sure it was something completely different that made the boy turn his head with even less interest than before




" So , scary place? " I asked and he looked at me again with the same cold expression " No? oh okay than guess you're the tough dude around here. But guess it's good to see other kids cry and scream and you're the one who gets the sticker and the pride of being strong after all huh? " I joked and tried to playfully punch him ,but his eyes grew wider , waiting for me to finish as if he had more interesting things to do than sit and listen to me




" Wahab ! " I heard someone clap and i lifted my head to see a tall, tanned beauty infront of me, she was wearing what appeared to be a white coat and her straight black hair was up in a ponytail. She looked simply distracting.



I got up "Hello " i said smiling crookedly at her " Is this another weird one of your things? you're secretly a baby Dr. ? no no wait , you run this business to scare the hell out of little kids just for fun "



" Am glad you came " She grinned at me , the grin that scares but also excites me " and What were you saying to that poor kid? " she moved her head around my shoulder to look at the boy i was next to, He was tilting his head to look at us




" 5 minutes and you already made a friend huh? " She said smiling




" yeah a pretty good friend too " i said sarcastically



She looked at me like she knew what i was up to



" So where exactly would we hang out , you wana sit on those little chairs and play with the blocks , or you wana go sit in the pink waiting room where everyone has a huge cotton in their mouth ? "




" No silly. Remember when i told you i volunteer for my sister's dental office? "




" Yyyess.. " I said carefully examining her face



" Well here i am! and you're doing it with me! " There's that scary grin again




" Uh-oh .." i said still looking at her hoping she'd laugh and say it was a joke, but with this girl .. nothing was a joke.



" C'mmon , you're going to give away toothbrushes! " She said excitedly and led the way



" Brush your teeth " I warned a little boy holding his cotton ball in his mouth tightly " No one likes bad teeth , you're not gonna get gir- " Shaikha stood behind him and made a gesture for me to stop talking " gggood grades! " I finally said and she grinned




The kid looked confused but took the toothbrush anyway



Another girl came in line and i handed her the toothbrush " You should brush your teeth everyday, no matter how beautiful you are those teeth are going to ruin your l-" Interrupted again by Shaikha's hand gestures , i stopped and smile " Your lovely teeth " i softened my voice and the girl left , well, at least that one didn't glare at me. I thought.



Another kid came "Look , dude. Just brush your teeth okay? you get this toothbrush right here and you wash em up alright? " The kid nodded with big dopey eyes and hurried away



I got up " this job is harder than i thought " i complained. Shaikha crossed her hands and looked at me " But am glad you're here to make it easier " I moved closer to her



" Nice save " she giggled and turned away quickly before i could speak or get lost in her sharp features again. So i went back to my toothbrushes



" Oh no no no no please don't cry , please don't cry " I heard Shaikha say in her melody-like voice , i looked up to see her calming a scruffy looking kid who didn't look pleased




The kid was crying silently but all the others were looking at him and were scared as well. This isn't good , i thought. Shaikha then turned her head to look at me with a pleading look




" Me , no " I signaled for her , what the hell did i know about calming kids?



Not able to resist her face i got up anyway, " Hey .. " I managed to say at the short dude , He stopped crying for a second and looked up at me




" What's wrong little man? " I knelled down to his level " You're teeth are hurting? "



The kid nodded, Shaikha smiled and walked away feeling like i could handle it. But i couldn't! I looked like a sick kid myself when i saw her walk away from me




" Uhh .. " I looked at the boy again " i um- hate when that hAPPENS too " i nodded " But you know what the best part is? if you brush your teeth after every ice cream cone and candy cane you eat you're good to go! " The boy looked up at me with a ray of hope in his eyes



" Am serious man you can have the whole deal, candy, chocolates and milkshakes. But you gotta brush okay? and don't over do it! " I warned again and he stared at me in fear, " But girls LOVE a guy with good teeth , " I winked at him and he laughed at me. " And also, don't tell the tall pretty girl over there i said that " He nodded and smiled. Phew, i thought. That didn't go so bad.



I got up again and saw Shaikha from afar calling the names of the children in office to go in, i paused for a second to just stare at her like i always do When i want to have the time to analyze her. She was weird , with the craziest theories and ideas i've ever heard, but maybe that's what's gotten me so sprung up. I dont know what exactly she had on me, i was standing in a dental office trying to stop kids form going wild. I played it over in my head and thought it would be a very funny joke to tell the guys, But for that moment, i just wanted to enjoy it.




I hadn't done anything like this before. But , for what it's worth .. I actually enjoyed it.



Shaikha finally looked my way and smiled.



" Ready to go hang out with people older than the age of 7? " She asked as she took her lab coat off



I smiled at her and bit my lip " There's one particular person i had in mind " She giggled and i followed her outside




" But please , take me anywhere that doesnt have desserts, i got scared after i saw all those cavities "



" There goes my appetite " i commented

Abdulwahab was taken over by the thoughts of Shaikha, She was something. Something i didn't quite understand. But maybe that was the beauty of it. Every day is a new discovery and it's just too exciting. That was what it felt like for me. Except .. i found her prettier than any flower.


" I think you're beautifully weird " i looked beside me to see her eyes closed

Shaikha finally gave in and gave him her number , just like she promised him when they first met, that if fate was kind enough they'll see each other again without knowing it.

" It wasn't just ANY girl 3baid " i was pacing around the room not able to sit down. Like the people you see in those CSI Tv shows when trying to solve a case, one of them is always walking around trying to act all smart and in deep thought. " I think i know her from somewhere .. i don't know .. my mind was already blurry "

" THERE IT IS !! " I heard a little screechy but not at all annoying voice come through the door. A very angry little Lulu walked in frowning with her tiny hands forming fists. Honestly , i was scared of that little cupcake shaped kid who stood in front of 3baid ..




" THANK you very much " She took the teddy bear from 3baid's big hands still frowning , then turned around to face me " Hi Wahabii " her frown was suddenly gone and i was facing the most angelic smile in the history of smiles , I patted her tiny head and she ran right through my long legs




" No , THAT little lady has got me good " i told him



3baid laughed " ana o5oha ma tsweele chthy "




" What can i say when you got it , you got it "




" So from where do you think you know that chick? " He asked as i sat down next to him, " someone back in Canda or .. " As soon as 3bdallah said that my head was in a huge bubble and it refused to see or hear anything else around it. No, i thought. It can't be ..



I quickly brushed away that thought and decided to go back to reality , It can never be her, i told myself. It's not possible.

Shaikha was still half asleep in her friend's car but she couldn't close her eyes from the excitement , her heart was still pounding and butterflies won't go away , the time she had with 3bdelWahab was just .. perfect.



" you know your cheeks look like fresh tomatoes right now, i'd ask but am sure you're on cloud 11 by now so am just gonna excuse you for today " Sara , Shaikha's friend had commented



Shaikha let out a warm giggle then pushed her head back on the seat and refused to comment , she knew her friend was exactly right, But it wasn't a bad thing either.



" I have nothing against the guy, and he seems .. well, HOT.. " Sara started



Shaikha giggled at her friend's comment , True. She thought.




" Just .. be careful " Shaikha suddenly slapped herself back into reality hearing her fried out. There was a small sting in her heart for having to think like that, but she knew her friend was just watching out for her.



And even though it's only been a little while, she felt like she'd known 3bdelwahab all her life. Like Wahab had said, there was a certain vibe people often got from him. This ridiculously captivating handsomeness and manhood that he possessed often had a bad boy , " ladies man " reputation attached to it. But for some reason, Shaikha didn't see it. He made her feel anything BUT scared or threatened, he actually made her feel the exact opposite. He may have been a lot of things in the past, but he wasn't anymore.. at least not with her.



Shaikha smiled again , she had something on her mind that her friend couldn't quite catch ..



" First time i saw him i saw this .. big strong hot guy sitting on the beach with the saddest eyes i've ever seen .. " Shaikha started to say



" you know me better than anyone else Swair i KNEW there was something .. something in him that made him so miserable and captured as a prisoner in his own soul. It was weird seeing the weakness in that amazingly strong figure that no one else saw. All i heard my heart say was .. i want to make it GO AWAY. From that moment on i was determined to make that boy's life a shiny warm summer again. Yes, you may say 'ana shako' w it sounds freaky but, He had it on me and now i can't turn away "




Sara had nothing to say after that. But it didn't stop her from thinking of how amazing her friend was. Here sat Shaikha , the bravest, craziest, most beautiful girl she knew talking about making some guy's life a " happy summer " again , while her own was in jeopardy. In spite of the misfortune Shaikha's fate had brought to her , She was the happiest person Sara knew. The only one who thought life was worth living to the absolute fullest and the most optimistic mess of a friend. She knew the exact meaning of fun. Yes, in spite of her misfortune ..




Shaikha had a deeper secret that only the closest people to her knew. After many pleads from her, promises were made from her father and best friends to act as if nothing went wrong, and the subject was never to be brought up again.




" Here we go " Sara pulled by Shaikha's house



" Thanks S " She kissed her friend's cheek and got in to see her father sipping on a cup of coffee and reading a small brown book. She bit her lip and hoped she wasn't too late for her usual curfew. Not that there was one, Her father was tired of making rules then forgetting he actually made them, but Shaikha liked to give the credit of the rules she made up to her old man. It was fun! was how she described it , her friends all thought she was crazy for doing so



" We all wish our parents forget the rules and curfews they give us! and you PRETEND that your father does that? " they would say




" I just don't want to hurt his feelings, i want him to feel like he's doing a great job being a father. You know, like every other parent " She'd blush




" Oh sweetie no matter what he does, it's in your brain you're a lunatic he can't make it better " Lamia would pat on her back




But she didn't care. It made her father feel happy, it made him feel like he was taking good care of her, which he was .. but in his own sweet way. As a kid she watched her aunts scold their kids when they ate chocolates before dinner, and her father would look at her grinning because no one knew they shared ice cream before bed, or watched Tv while working or doing homework ..



He was overprotective in many ways, but he refused to show her that. He didn't want to show her that after he made a promise to her .. a promise not to control her life and assume the worst. At least not in front of her face.



Shaikha had an amazing life and an incredible father, but she grew tired and angry when his parenting methods were questioned. Too much ice cream and Tv were just the start, her aunts would tell him. What was he going to do when she went to college? Everyone would ask, That's why Shaikha did this ..




To help her father realize that not only he was doing what every other parent was doing, but only better.



" Hey daddy " She hugged him from the back of his neck




" Hey sweet heart " He kissed her fingers




" How was the Shalaih " She froze and bit her lip remembering she stayed against his will




" Sam7an told me about you not wanting to go back .. " Her heart sank, Okay now she was scared




What have Sam7an told him? She hoped this had nothing to do with AbdulWahab




" Uhh what- what did he tell you? " She looked nervous but her dad was still looking at his book, his voice casual



Good sign , she guessed




" Just that you didn't want to leave, you could've just told me "




She quickly giggled , poor Sam7an .. he's a good man.




" Next time i will, "




" Good then, did you have fun? " he finally closed the book to look at her



" Great fun "



" That's great honey, don't be so late next time "



Shaikha glanced at the wall clock which showed it was exactly 9;40 and tried to hide her smile



She knew he didn't even know what time it was, but he felt like it was his fatherly duty to say so. Bless him, she thought.



She wasn't making fun of him or taking him for granted. But the contrary, every day she'd love him more and more for trying to be everything for her and being there every step of the way, even though Shaikha knew .. he was lost without her mother as well.




" Night daddy " She kissed his cheek , ran upstairs and slipped into her PJ's




She checked her phone but there was nothing. She was kind of hoping there was something there from Wahab ..




Sure it's been like 15 minutes since she saw him , but .. it wouldn't hurt. would it?




She smiled and put the phone down , laying her pretty head on the pillow ready to dream about his sexy scars and those strong arms that held her by the sea.

I was honestly too lazy to speak, i opened the cap of my drink to let it cool off and took a sip

As soon as i turned around from the counter i almost bumped into something soft and sweet smelling, She stood there staring at me lips apart, her face startled but not at all surprised



" Wahab "



" Shaikha " I mumbled through my sleepy voice , there i was fully awaken then by the face of an angel



She was wearing a white dress , not a hint of make up on her face and her hair was all straighted down



" Good morning " She smiled at me



" It is right now " I smiled back



She giggled " I didn't know you were a morning person "



" Am not " I glanced back at 3baid who had no idea what was going on, he let out a voice which i translated as he was trying to try my coffee but burnt his tongue in the process




She giggled again and looked at me



" You .. wana hang out today ? " I was reluctant to ask that , but i was trying new things , wasn't i?




I saw her face hesitate , then she said " I have this .. thing i have to do today "




" What about tomorrow? "



" It depends on- the thing i have to do today " I saw her frown, she was confused herself at her own words



" Oh " I was caught by surprise but i tried to keep a straight face " Okay then i'll call you later? "



" Okay " She smiled at me and i gestured for her to go and order

Previously ; After Wahab and Shaikha left the shalaih, they had a chance to meet again at the same place. A fight with wahab's father and a bad day at Shaikha's home, made room for a lucky coincidence there. Having bonded at the beach almost an entire day the two had alot to think about.



" I'll take you home , or at least let me drive you somewhere where your friend can pick you up "




" I'd like to feel the water before i leave this place , to remember the tingles i get from it .. how it effects my heartbeat and how my skin feels .. "



She was looking up at me her eyes twinkling against the lights behind me



" We should go " I gently whispered to her

I drove in silence and ease. To tell you the truth , i was deliberately driving that slow just to spend more time with her ..




Half way through , Shaikha's sudden crazy chats and spontaneous laughs have stopped and i found her pretty face looking out the window. I didn't want disturb the moment , neither did i have anything to say. But i liked it that way ..




It was just good to sit there with her.




" You know how stars die ? "



" What? " her question came in the middle of a daze i was in



" They just lose their shine .. they burn and they fall.. That's too sad ,isn't it? "



I smiled " Tell me about it " I had no idea what that girl was saying most of the time or how her mind worked. How it got her thinking about every single thing in this world. Weird , good or bad ..




She was something. Something i didn't quite understand. But maybe that was the beauty of it , how i had no idea what she was about. For years I've lived , seen and known a lot of people , but she was nothing like anything I've ever known.




I wasn't a florist , nor did i take any time to grow anything but my muscles, but you know when you have this flower growing? almost everyday you try to check up on it , see it opening up petal after petal. The thought of it being complete takes over your mind and you can't wait to see it, But every day is a new discovery and it's just too exciting. That was what it felt like for me. except .. i found her prettier than any flower.



" Are you making fun of me in your head now? " she asked




" What? No. What makes you think that? "




" You were smiling quietly to yourself "



" No i wasn't " Okay what the hell ?! i was SMILING ? i did not DO smiling. Let alone to my own thoughts ..



There it was again , She was already making me do things i wasn't keen on doing and i wish i knew how to stop. Okay , i didn't exactly hate it but .. i just wasn't used to it. And i wasn't the one to embrace change.




" And now you're frowning " She commented




" Will you please stop reading my face? "




" Why not? It's fun "



" Let me guess , it's one of those weird things you do "



" No " She rolled her eyes , " I wonder if i can learn that though .. " She gazed up as if i gave her something to think about




I shook my head and focused on the road ," You really think am weird?" she asked me



I looked at her with a perfectly straight face, She was giving me an innocent look that i found more than endearing " Yes i do " i told her



Her lovely eyes grew a little bigger with surprise, then she looked ahead " Wow, i didn't read THAT on your face "




I tried so hard to keep my teeth from showing, pressing my lips tightly together. How the hell can someone stop smiling with the presence of this creature?




It was only a few minutes later that i had something to say of my own



" I think you're beautifully weird " i looked beside me to see her eyes closed,her head tilting slightly resting on the big smooth seat of my car forming a pretty picture




I didn't know how long it took a person to fall asleep on a seat of a car. And i didn't know if was actually asleep or just pretending to be. but i didn't mind any of that. Whether she heard me or not. I just said it.




I slowly parked near the co-operative Shaikha told me about. I looked at her still dozing off peacefully and i didn't want to disturb her so i just waited. I heard a low moan and i looked to see her head move and her eyes open



" Did i fall asleep ?! " Her head snapped up so fast and she looked at me with big sleepy eyes , strands of stray crazy hair jumping out of her head. My own eyes grow bigger with surprise, it was scary!




" Oh good we're here " She said in a perky little voice this time, her tone back to normal. I looked at her crazy hair then back into her eyes. I didn't know if it was crazy but she actually looked cuter that way.




" Thank you Wahab " She suddenly said to me, She looked out the window then back " My friend's car is right there " She said, still making eye contact




She suddenly took my phone and started dialing some numbers. The whole fate making us
see each other again worked and she did as she promised, now i have a way to contact her.




She smiled at me and i smiled back, neither of us wanting to ruin the moment. But soon she gave her back to me and unlocked the door. When she was out of the car i took in a very deep breath. It felt as if i hadn't been able to do that through the entire day and i had no idea why




I felt like there was a huge void, like there was something missing when she left..




It wasn't nice. Not having her there after i've spent almost the entire day with her. The feeling was getting to me and the thoughts were getting confusing so i pulled my gear and reversed the car




Before i started driving again, there stood a girl trying to cross the street so i waited patiently for her to do so. She looked at me while she did, her eyes crinkling from the headlights of my car



When she finally crossed the street, i felt a deep sting in my stomach




Wait a minute, I thought




Do i know her?




My phone rang and it was 3bdallah




" Hey man "




" Hala bil 7beeeb , wainik ent ? 6ool elyoum madre 3anik " His loud voice came through



" Walah ta3ban , it's been a long day .. ent wainik? "

As soon as i arrived at the house, i felt a small lump of meat jump at me

" Hey beautiful " I grinned as i put her down

" What? " She looked confused

We walked in the living room to see my aunt, uncle and my father who was looking at me with those big powerful eyes. I knew all was forgiven, that all it took was for me to just go and sit next to him

As they started talking again about a subject i didn't quite catch up with, my head was too busy thinking back about what i saw at the co-operative ..




I looked at 3bdallah who was giving me a funny look " Shfeek? " He mouthed the words to me

I smiled " I thought i told you , the door of the porch was open "




She gave me a ' don't joke around , am serious ' look tilting her pretty head my way

I saw sadness cover her beautiful features , she shifted in her seat looking at the ground " It's just .. complicated "




" So is my story but that doesn't mean you're not gona make me tell it now, does it?"




She looked back at me and gave me a crooked smile " if i tell you - and theres really not much to tell - would you promise to tell me what brought you here ? "




I nodded " promise "




" Okay , " She sighed " My father is .. difficult .. Sam7an was working for us for as long as i can remember and- well let's say his primary job is to keep an eye on me more than drive me around .. he's not exactly a ' driver ' and .. if something wrong happened to me , god knows what my father might do to him. So don't blame him for going all crazy "




" That's not an excuse to talk to you like that " I was still angry , who the hell did that bag of dirt think he is to talk to her like that? But Shaikha interrupted my thoughts ..




" Ever since my mother died .. my father made sure i was well protected giving to my crazy personality. He might not show it , telling me to go for everything and ' live the moment ' but i know what he's thinking almost all the time "




I looked in her eyes and i could tell there was so much more to that story , there's so much she wanted to say i could tell ..



But for that moment , i decided to take all i could get.




" I don't really mind him being over protective , i don't. I just .. want him to loosen up a bit , to be honest with me .." Her voice was lower , her eyes warmer




" He tells me to do whatever i want , to live my life and be happy when he's controlling all that behind my back " she took a breath " I love my father so much .. but i just want him to trust me. I want HIM to be the happy one "




I nodded " You know he only does that because he loves you " The words came out of my mouth and my mind was slowly processing them ..




It was something i should've told myself before i stormed out of the house. I was the one who should've known that ..




Flashbacks of my father's angry face crossed my mind and i instantly felt my heart fall



" So tell me " She began again




I looked out to the sea behind her , the waves crashing and arriving at shore , each shining with hints of sun rays on top , the relaxing sound not too far away from us ..




All i wanted to do was run and jump in , acting like a big baby i know ..





But it seemed like a very effective way to blow off some steam. I looked back at her staring at me and patiently waiting for me to continue , having the courtesy not to pressure me even further






" Your story is not too different from mine .. i .. just stormed out of the house not knowing where to go and i suddenly found myself here "





Her eyes were sympathetic and dazzling , it made me want to share more, The warmth in them made me want to stare all day




" He was angry at me for no apparent reason. Well, no recent one at least. He started saying all those things about what i did in the past and i just .. couldn't stay "





" You shouldn't be angry at him .. just like you told me , it's coming from the right place "




" Wow. We both have daddy issues "




Suddenly , the most perfect pure sound filled the air





It was the sound of her laugh. Just an honest , genuine laugh





I was glad i changed the mood , lightened up the atmosphere surrounding us




She looked outside then back at me





" You know , Sam7an also brought food " She gave me a pair of crazy eyes




" What?. Was.. was this your plan to trap me then eat me? "





She laughed again and playfully punched my arm




We repeated what we did last time , we had another picnic on the beach ..




And to my surprise , i wasn't sick of it. I liked it because it reminded me of our first picnic at the exact same spot




Our talk was nothing like the one we had just had , there was no pain .. no pressure .. no gloom.





The big grey cloud above our heads was gone.




" So .. is this was you always do on your free time? come here and enojy the company of the sea? "




" No. I actually do A LOT more " she rolled her eyes at me




" Let me guess , shopping? "




She threw a tissue at me " Seriously ? all this and you throw a TISSUE? " I looked down at my Abs and i saw her stare for a split second




" Shutup "



I smiled and gazed at her again , she blushed and looked away




" No it depends on my mood " she began again " I go to my sister's clinic sometimes she's a dentist "




" Oh that's cool you help out? "



" No really. I usually go put on the nurse costume , talk to the poor kids then give them stickers and candy when they leave. The first part's good but my sister doesn't appreciate the ' sugar induced drugs ' i give them " She made a face and i smiled





" It goes well , you know it's fun .. until the children start crying .. and then i cry too. Out loud. in front of them. Remembering MY awful days with the dentist, God! i hate the dentist. Which is ironic because my sister is one! i don't know WHERE she got her genes from "




She stopped and i was startled , i didn't know whether to laugh or be scared.




" Yeah , seems to me like she also got all the brains in the family "




She gave me a look " well i don't do that ALL the time am not crazy "




" Oh god there's more " I crinkled my eyes playfully , pretending to be cautious of what's coming out of her pretty mouth




" I also go to this cute little center where art classes are held "




" Oh that's nice , you paint? "




" No i just go there to watch now. I used to .. until they kicked me out for telling the teacher his painting was ugly " she bit her lip




I raised my brow



" What?! he made a pretty mean comment about mine , i was working on it for two weeks! "




" What did you draw ? "




" An Orange and two Grapes "




" Wow, yeah i heard Picasso started out that way too "




" I go watch them , you know to feel like am learning something too " She said ignoring my silly comment




It's true i was making jokes , but i admired her personality ..




I didn't know if it was her craziness or her genuine heart that had me captivated




But i knew that all of her together , she was nothing like i'd ever known.




The feel of my vibrating phone suddenly interrupted , " I gotta take this ,will you excuse me? "



She smiled and nodded " Take your time "




I got up and moved away from the spot we were sitting



" Hala yuba "




" 3bdelwahab yuba , wainik ? "




The fatherly voice of the man who raised me , the worry and pain he was feeling suddenly made my heart sink




I could sense he regretted everything he said back at the house from the moment i walked out , i could hear him aching inside wanting his son to be alright




He dealt with me for all those years , trying to do a good job .. a better job .. having to preform duties of two parents instead of one and that for me , was just enough to make him more than a man in my eyes





" Ana b5air yuba la t7atee , ana yait el Shalaih a'3ayer jaw shway "



I looked back at the beautiful lady that awaited me and my stomach tied knots , i was exactly where i wanted to be



" Ee zain tswe yuba , ment rad elbait? "




My mind quickly thought of Shaikha , what about her?




Is she even going home? i couldn't just leave ..




And am sure as hell wasn't going to let that shit of a driver take her home




" Ana ashouf yuba w adeg 3laik enshallah "




I hung up the phone and headed towards her again




" That was my dad .. "




" Is everything okay? "




" Great " I said




" The sun's almost setting .. What are you gonna do ? " i asked




" I don't know yet , but am sure not gonna stay here alone it's getting late "




" Alone? "



She smiled shyly " ofcourse you're here but i meant the Shalaih is empty and the girls aren't .."




" I get it "




" I'll go clean up for a bit , you go relax you need it .. " she told me





" If you need anything am right next to you "




" Good to know " she smiled



I helped her get everything cleaned from the shore , then i politely thanked her for lunch and left



I entered the Shalaih feeling weird without my buddies being there , i jumped on the couch again , not a single trace of anger or madness in me this time




Just trying to lay back and relax ..



The thought of Shaikha only a few steps away drove me crazy. Even though i spent all the afternoon with her i still couldn't get enough




I knew i was being selfish but i didn't want to be away from her





I took a hot shower easing my muscles for a bit , after an hour i was thinking of checking on her.




I went downstairs and my eyes lay upon a lovely tall figure by the beach , with her back to me staring out at sea



I smiled and slowly made my way towards her




" Hey .."




She quickly turned around with a crooked smile



" Hey " Her voice was soft , easy and attractively low




" Did i interrupt something? "




She shook her head




" Did you talk to the girls? "




" I was just going to call Sam7an to take me home .. "




Once i heard his name i felt my throat block



" Can't anyone else get you? "




" They can't , plus it's a long drive "




" I'll take you " I blurted out




" What? "




" I'll take you home , or at least let me drive you somewhere where your friend can pick you up , just don't ride with that dude " i wasn't trying to be the psychotic type and nor was i bossing her around. I just wanted her to be safe




" Wahab .. "



I looked at her waiting for her to continue but she didn't. I saw the corners of her eyes crinkle beautifully and she said , " Okay "




" Okay whaT? "




" I'll go back with you , you can drop me off at the co-operative next to my house and my friend will pick me up from there "





" Okay cool " I smiled



" Cool "




She looked at the sea again




" Can i .. just do one more thing before we leave? " She asked me



" Sure " I told her




And suddenly she took off her shoe and put her toes in the water, lifting up her long baby blue dress so it doesn't get wet




" Shaikha what are you doing ? " I asked




She smiled and continued to put her other leg in as well , i could see her shivering the water was freezing for sure and small waves were crashing by the shore




She was just standing there , eyes closed and breathing in





" I'd like to feel the water before i leave this place , to remember the tingles i get from it .. how it effects my heartbeat and how my skin feels .. "




I sighed and took off mine as well , i walked in slowly behind her and i could feel her body tense up alarmed, realizing i was only a few inches away from her




She slowly turned around to face me




" What? " i asked




" Am waiting for your silly comment on this one "




" There isn't one " I smiled




" WhaT? why? " She looked cute with her brows creased and confused staring up at me




" Because .. if you'll allow me " I looked down on our shivering feet drowned gently " I want to remember how this feels as well "



I slowly reached out for her waist and gently wrapped my hands around her shaking figure



" How what feels? " Her voice was almost gone , scared but yet peaceful and safe




" How in this crazy cold weather, with our bodies almost freezing , our legs dipped in there like two frozen sticks of ice cream we don't feel a thing because the warmth we're feeling right now being this close to each other beats the hell out of everything else around us "




She was looking up at me her eyes twinkling against the lights behind me then she looked down again and closed her eyes, savoring the moment




Interrupted again her phone began ringing to snap us back into reality




" We should go " I gently whispered to her
